THE 2020 HOLIDAY SEASON WAS DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER. COVID-19 CHANGED THE WORLD AND ALSO FOR MCDONALD’S A LOT CHANGED. NO STORE TRAFFIC WAS ALLOWED BY GOVERNMENTAL REGULATIONS. MCDONALD’S X-MASTERS WAS A DECEMBER DREAM COME TRUE. A COMPLETE 360 CAMPAIGN BASED ON APP TAKE-OVER. 23 DAYS FILLED WITH GAMES, PRIZES, MERCH, AND X-MEDALS. EVERY DAY, A NEW MCDONALD’S THEMED GAME APPEARED IN THE APP. LIKE BIG MAC MANIA, MCFLURRY SLICER, AND BURGER BLAST.
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL. PLAYERS COULD COLLECT X-MEDALS IN THEIR WALLETS. THERE WERE EVEN A FEW HIDDEN SECRET X-MEDALS. AND THOSE X-MEDALS COULD ALSO EARN PRIZES. LIMITED EDITION MCDONALD’S GEAR, AWESOME GADGETS, AND A SUPER EXCLUSIVE BALR X MCDONALD’S SNEAKER.
